I know many people with this problem but nowhere has it been answered. Some motherboards are actually useful as they allow you to alter settings, but my m3438g isn't. The BIOS is desperately basic and resulting in the following problem.
Trying to install a new Seagate Momentus doesn't work as the m/board doesn't read SATA. This was partly solved by getting VIA's drivers. Initially this began to work with them being installed from a floppy, but then I receive the mythical 'VIA RAID COMBO DRIVER DISKETTE'. No matter what I try with the VIA drivers, nothing works. Does anyone have these mythical drivers or can anyone support me with a new motherboard that actually reads SATA HD's. This is an aggravating problem that has gone on for over a month now. #The fact Fujitsu supply a crap motherboard is annoying. The fact the m/board manufaturer doesn't allow any form of RAID or IDE or SATA support in their #BIOS is appalling. I say appalling because many people with this problem have solved it by altering particular settings. My only alternative is loading from a driver disk that doesn't seem to exist. How did Fujitsu install Windows on my HD in the first place and why won't they let me?
