Standby Problem (Amilo A-Series 1650)

Postby tibi » Tue Nov 04, 2008 4:20 pm

Hi..

could someone help me to figure out how to enable standby in my amilo A-Series 1650. Or actually it is about how to make it work properly.

When I use the "Fn" shortcut it begins as if it going to standby but after a while it looks as if the only thing which effectively happens is the shutting off of the monitor (the cooler is working, the diode shows some activity, etc.). And it doesn't want to go back to the regular mode, so I have to use the power-button in order to bring it back to life through shutting it off first.

I have checked the device manager (all the drivers look fine). I have fresh Win XP, SP 2 (I did format and reinstall because I had the same problem), all the drivers got from fujitsu-siemens web-page (the instalation cd lost), I have the launch manager installed and the dedicated keys (wireless, www, fan) work fine. Have no idea what I should add. ah, it's not only that it doesn't go on standby with "Fn" shortcut but manually from start-menu the same happens.

Will be grateful for some ideas. :?:
