Hi... i think maybe this same question has been asked many times before, but cant find the thread anywhere

the question is.

how to i lift the keyboard to replace the ram and upgrade from 1 to 2 gb?

do i have to unscrew the botto to access the other module?

any help is appreciated and hopefully will pop up in google searches too.

Normally both RAM-modules are situated behind the service door on the underside of the notebook. Some models have one module behind the service door and one underneath the keyboard.
But without knowing the model name of your notebook I can't tell.

Unfortunately I can't tell you more about the maximum RAM than I did here:

The reason is that the bios might cause problems with 4GB which is not documented. In the german forum there is a thread of six pages length about my model and 4GB RAM. The only answer there is that nobody can tell because for some it works and for some it doesn't. And even in the german forum there is no thread with an answer for the Pi 2515.

Maybe this thread helps you to access the RAM. It's about another model but Didou stated that it's the same for the Pi 2515:
