Creat Raid 0 on Xi 3650

Postby deak » Fri Dec 05, 2008 12:39 pm

Hi,

I have something stange maybe someone has an idea to solve my problem which is as following:

I tried to set up an Raid 0 Array on my xi 3650 as I did so I can not save any changes in the RAID-BIOS
And I also can not chose my disks in the "Create Raid Volume" menue this is very strange because how can anyone create a Raid Array not knowing which disks to use.

Thanks for any Help or Ideas.

Hello,
how have you access to the raid bios ? i cant ......

You can use the intel matrix storage in windows to create the raid 0, no reinstall of windows needed :)

thanks

Hi guys , ,Sorry for hijacking your thread marco , , , i am waiting for my Xi3650 to arrive and have just started a thread in the screens / graphics sectons if you would be kind enough to have a look , ,as owners already, you will be able to answer a question for me , ,thankyou.

But, whilst i am here, , can somone give me a quick rundown on raid 0 , stripping etc as i havent got a clue, , but as the Xi3650 i am getting comes with the two 500gb drives , now is probably the best time to look into it a little more !

Thanks guys, , , kev

Hi,

I have just received my one too... Raid was easy to set up using the Intel Storage Manager. Ive set mine up for Raid 1.

Has anyone noticed that file copying in Vista is very very slow? I have found some links that point to the Intel Storage manager being the problem.

Thank you,

Doug.
