Do you have any chipset driver installed? If yes: Which one?
Problems with graphics drivers are often caused by missing chipset drivers.

I think you didn't install a graphics driver for XP (at least not successfully). The output you posted seems to be only from the chipset driver.
Where did you get your drivers from?

I found a driver collection for a Sony Vaio notebook that uses the same graphics chip like your notebook:
http://www.notebook-driver.com/sony-vaio/sony-vaio-vgn-sr140e-notebook-windows-xp-drivers/

Please try the Intel Graphics Driver for Windows XP that is linked there.

I don't know if there are incompatibilities between XP and your graphics card but I can tell you for sure that you will not get any drivers for mobile graphic cards from intel.com.
It is a common agreement that notebook vendors provide the drivers for mobile graphics chips. Therefore you will not get any drivers for mobile Nvidia or ATI cards as well. You will either have to modify the desktop drivers to support mobile cards or to find a notebook vendor that provides XP drivers for your graphics card. Sony provides those drivers, this is why I linked it in my last post.
