[M1437G] Startup trouble

Postby baskabaska » Tue Dec 23, 2008 7:24 am

My Amilo M1437G is acting strange. When I want to start it up, I have to push the power button up to 50 times before it finally starts up. When it finally starts up it runs perfectly though.... Has anyone alse had this annoying problem? What is wrong?

You are not the first one who encounters this problem. Most likely the reason for this problem is a bad contact of your power button. This may be due to a corroded or distorted contact. It is reported that it sometimes helps to wiggle the button while pressing it.

To solve your problem permanently you will have to open the case of your notebook and to clean and/or readjust the contact. If you don't want to do this on your own, a computer/TV technican or another electronics craftsman might be able to help you.

Thanks,

I think the problem isn't power button, because the laptop with only battery startup correctly.

Bye.

This would mean that either your power pack or the power board is defective.
If you can lend a matching power pack (Output: 20V 4.5A) from someone you should test if you still have the same problem.
