Postby LucianXXX » Tue Dec 30, 2008 8:58 pm

Hello! I bought yesterday an amilo li 3710 4 gb ram, 250 hdd, dual core 2 ghz, and i can't install any type of windows. I bought it without any operating sistem. I tried to install Xp first but he gave me an error on blue screen. Then i tried vista ultimate, I made 2 partitions on hdd and after that he continued to install for 3 hours! after those 3 hours it was blocked almost at finish on a black screen. What can i do? Please help! Thank You

Did you integrate the S-ATA drivers into your XP-CD like described here?:

I have no idea what was wrong with Vista. Obviously it had some drivers on board.

Please check with a Linux live-CD if the notebook boots at all!

Yes i tried even that but nothing. Is booting from cd. I looked in bios to change sata but it doesn't have that option.

So does a live-system work fine or did you only verify that it boots? Which one did you try?

Which error message did you get in the XP bluescreen?

I managed to resolve the problem!! Some hardware drivers from vista cd were different from those that the notebook needed. I changed the drivers from the cd and now works very well! Thank you anyway. Happy new year!
