AMILO Li 1705 [Video Card] Problem on Vista & Windows7

Postby NanoSofT » Wed Jan 07, 2009 9:39 am

AMILO Li 1705 comes with Display Card [The VIA Chrome9 HC IGP]

I tried to Install :::: P4M900(CE)-VN896(CE)Via CN896 package for vista found here :

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BOARD/OTHERS/VIA-IGP-CN896-P4M900-P4M900-CD-P4M900-CE-VN896-32bit-Driver-210201f-WHQL.shtml

and the system recognized it and all went good except the driver seems to be not functioning well on vista & Win7

light games in full screen mode are very slow .. the frames are segmented.. but in non full screen the speed is normal.

i don't want to go back to XP again .. so if someone has any kind of solution .. I'd be grateful to hear it.

thanks for your reply .. appreciate it

and yes i tried it long time ago and had some issues with aero & transparency so i searched for alternatives and i found the driver above and worked fine for me .. only this fullscreen slow thing is left to fix

I searched google again and found other ppls had the same issue with [VIA Chrome9 HC IGP]

http://www.tkarena.com/forums/video-gra ... mance.html

i made a video which illustrate the problem while running a game in both state modes

here is the video http://www.materialordner.de/dou7F8VSssG2bDbxgJ0stZFOMFLyV55Z.html

the game dimensions in full screen are the same in normal [800*600]
and the screen recorder utility captures the screen pixels[1280*800] not the game..so it's not a mistake.

but now i believe there is no fixing for that
i might stick with xp for a while till i upgrade my laptop
