AMILO Xi 1526 (Windows XP Setup)

Postby GRUNDIG » Fri Jan 16, 2009 3:03 pm

Hello,

I have a problem with installing Microsoft Windows XP on my Amilo Xi 1526 notebook;

I have original bootable CD with Windows XP;

When I begin installation, I see an error.

It is said that the system cannot find any hard disk established on my computer.

I have read many forums where was told about this problem.

I have understood that it is necessary to insert into distribution kit of Windows special RAID the driver.

If I am not mistaken, these: VIA VT6421A Serial RAID Controller Driver

I tried to search for them on the Internet, but could find only adjusting archives (.exe files).

But I need not *.exe files. I need folder with "opened" drivers.
I mean drivers, that i can include in my distribution of Windows XP?
My nLite don't allow me to include drivers in *.exe formats.

Where I can take such drivers?

Thank You & sorry about my english..

Isn't the exe file a self-extracting archive?
