Amilo m1425 memory upgrade

Postby maskok06 » Thu Jan 22, 2009 10:37 am

Hi.
I have Amilo m1425, intel M 1.80Ghz , With 2x256 Mb RAM and 80Gb HDD.
I would like to upgrade memory to 1024, or to 2048. I find some memories and i would like to inform me if these memories are compatible with my laptop.

1. OCZ OCZ3331024VSO 1GB SO-DIMM DDR1 PC-2700 333MHZ
2. OCZ OCZ4001024VSO 1GB SO-DIMM DDR1 PC-3200 400MHZ
3. KINGSTON SODIMM DDR 512MB/333

which is the best combination without promblems? 2x512 MB or 1x1024 GB? 333Mhz or 400Mhz?
If i use 1x1024GB and 1x256MB the old memory ,i will have problems? All the memories work on parallel should be on same frequency like 333Mhz?

Thanks!

According to some threads in the german forum 2GB of RAM is possible.
All modules you listed should work, even in a mix. But I would prefer to use two identical modules of PC-3200.
A combination of a 1GB module and one of your current 256MB modules should work too. But I see no sense in doing this.

thanks for reply!

I suggest this mix with old memory because I won't be able to give much money on memory upgrade. Ithink that setting a module at 400Mhz, it works at 333Mhz. Anyway. Do you know if i need to upgrade BIOS or something else by changing RAM up to 1 GB? :)
