Hello and sorry for the language, I have always used the script ./ setup and everything went well. I installed hardy 8:04:02 kernel 2.06.24-23 and you see this error
[*]giacomo@giacomo-laptop:~$ sudo ./ setup

This script will enable some of the laptop features such as the Special buttons:
Wireless, Browser and Fancy Fan

Adding system startup for /etc/init.d/ ...
/etc/rc0.d/ -> ../init.d/
/etc/rc1.d/ -> ../init.d/
/etc/rc6.d/ -> ../init.d/
/etc/rc2.d/ -> ../init.d/
/etc/rc3.d/ -> ../init.d/
/etc/rc4.d/ -> ../init.d/
/etc/rc5.d/ -> ../init.d/
Trying to download precompiled kernel module for Special Buttons
Warning: No precompiled modules for 2.6.24-23-generic, trying to recompile
Error: Unable to download acerhk source code

Can you help?

Change to - this should work.
(You can contact the author of the script so he integrates this, too ;-))
