Problems with IR (infrared)

Postby JohnnyD » Thu Jan 29, 2009 1:39 am

I have an amilo Xi2428 with XP SP3 installed. All the devices work correctly, but the infrared doesn´t work. I have read in some posts from other forum that the IR can´t be used on XP.

I have used a driver from http://servbg.com/blog/?cat=22 (http://servbg.com/xi2528/IRREMOTE/CIR_ITE8709.exe). It works, but I don´t know hot to change the function of the buttons (I have tried following the instructions of the web, but I couldn´t). Can anyone help? I would like to use the pad.

Thanks.

Thanks Aaron.

I have read the steps in http://www.autohotkey.com, but i have one problem, i need to use winLIRC to make sa script with autohotkey, and winLIRC only works with detectors connected to a serial port. I have tried to change the settings of winLIRC, but the programs says that the configuration is not correct (it doesn´t find the IR receiver in any COM port). So it´s possible that i can´t use that program, and maybe the solution is change to Vista to use the IR pad properly. I´ll try to find an alternative, and if i find them i´ll post it here.

Thanks again.
