I want to change the current HDD(250gb wd scorpio) for a 500gb(maybe wd scorpio).is anything i must know before i do the change (settings or anything) and if i can use the 3 restore disks(dvds i created when i started my amilo for the first time) to instal windows vista again?

You can change the HDD without any problems. Just take the usual care (don't touch any electric contacts and so on).
I'm not sure if you can use the recovery disks to restore the OS on a naked HDD. Try it out!
If it doesn't work you might want to use a tool like Acronis True Image or a Linux live-CD to copy your old HDD to the new one. This will definitely work.

You know how it works with Linux? A simple cp -rf * will not work. You will have to use dd
