AMILO Pi 2515 Bluescreen and reboot

Postby Gooman » Mon Feb 02, 2009 8:11 pm

Since this laptop was new I have had problems such as "no hdd found" and sudden reboots, but now the computer get a bluescreen and reboots just a few minutes after start. Is there any suggestions of a solution?
The problem never occurs in safe mode.
The technical information on the bluescreen says:
Stop: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x8205E9F5, 0x88B8CBDC, 0x88B8C8D8)

This problem is mostly due to insufficient HDD-capacity or a bad driver.
How much free space is left on your HDD and do you have any "exotic" programs or devices installed that need special drivers (mp3-player, bluetooth-mobile, joystick...)?

Hi there.
Thanks for your answer. I have a lot of free space on the hard drive so that cannot be the problem. I know now that I have got some trojan but I am not sure this will cause the reboot. It is difficault to find a solution because the computer always reboot after just 3 minutes, it is not time enough to run a virus check. The trojan also blocks programs as Smitfraudfix and Combofix. I agree with you that some driver probably causes the reboot problem, but how to find wich driver? I can run the computer in safe mode, even with network connected.
The only "exotic" drivers are maybe for mp3. I also saw that there were a lot of USB drivers installed for memory sticks and cameras.

I guess the main problem is Vista :-)

If you have a trojan and aren't sure how to remove it reinstalling the whole system from scratch might be the best solution. Most likely this will also solve any problems with 3rd party drivers.

I guess the main problem are insufficient safety measures. ;-)

i had this problem on my amilo li 1718, but it was solved after i used a registry cleaner to fix it up. I used CCleaner which is free, great for fixing registry issues and cleaning up data. Try looking around for some other tutorials online.

Hi! I have this and many other(!!!) BSODs on my 2515. One of these("driver_irql_not_less_or_equal") is caused by Kaspersky Antivirus, driver klif.sys. Sometimes it can be one time in 3 or 4 days between 2 BSODs. Maybe somebody know how to resolve this issues? Firstly going to completely reinstall Vista.

Thanks from Russia :)
