Problems with hard drives, CD/DVD-devices, firmware updates, USB stick, card reader,...

My optical drive, TSST TS-L632H slim 8x DVD+/-RW , won't recognise or format the Mount Rainier format which I have always used on my other machine. I've found a table where the item Mount Rainier isn't checked. Vista is said to natively support MRW. Is there a fix, please?

Mount Rainier requires hardware support to work.
