I have an li1718 (T5300, Phoenix Bios v1. with 2Gb of RAM.
FSC says that 2GB is the max I can put in the li1718 but I have seen some reports that it may be possible to install 3 or even 4GB.

Has anyone done that successfuly ?
Do I need to upgrade the BIOS ?

hello i would like to ask about some upgrade facts , am about to upgrade ram from 2gb possibly 2 4gb even 3 will be awesome can somebody guarantee me that its gonna work ? anyway i saw on other forum about processor upgrade...what kind off proc i can put ? one guy said that's possible is even t7600 ? i would like to put t7500 cause i think its better value for less money than 7600...any chance to put something more ? like for example t9300 ? thx guys am gonna try all upgrades about 20 march cause am off for holiday soon and ill be off when my parts will come ;( shame cant wait really ;D got also another lap top but, fujitsu siemens was my the best lap top i ever bought....was cheap and got it 1.5year and its still worth that money cool !!

it won't work, I've tested it with 3 and 4 gb, I've done hardware reset. Nothing. 2 gb is sadly everything what u can put in = (

write something when u change the cpu ( what model, heating etc )
