Yes, Pentium 760 M should work with amilo l1310g. I'm using 750 M now and its working just fine. If you have celeron and want to replace it, it will not give more speed which you can feel, but it will decrease you fan spin speed. :)

Thanks gezasaore. My L1310G tend to run rather hot, especially if I use Puppy Linux from live CD. I went ahead and ordered the Pentium 760 and hope I can make it work. I keep looking at the specifics on the different cpus that might be compatible, and I really don't know which would be the fastest and best one. Thanks for the help :D

Here i have some proof for you :) , i uploaded some print screens from my notebook below:

1.There are screens From my Computer Properties menu:

The Procesor frequency's are different because of "Enhanced SpeedStep Technology" that my Celeron didn't have and was making my fan spin crazy all the time. Now it's silent as in church and it saves energy :)

2.There are screens from Everest:

Also I have Pentium M 765 with 2,1Ghz and 400Mhz FSB, but i dont use it because it dont support "Physical Address Extension" (PAE) that is required to run VMware wokstation. I usually run Ubuntu Linux on VMware and it works normally with Pentium M 750. Also i have Windows 7 installed, it has all required drivers except motorola moden and card reader. I runs kind a normal, but is a lil laggy some times .

Great!

I've sold my L1310g..now I have a Dell Studio 15 with i7, running very hot and the fan is spinning al lot. I miss the L1310g :(

At least it should be more Linux compatible.
