[Amilo Li 1718] Wireless on Windows7?

Postby calumrulez » Sat Feb 21, 2009 5:14 pm

Hey

I have always had trouble with this laptop when it comes to drivers on other operating systems, such as ubuntu, but i thought that surely a windows operating system would be easier.

I am currently dual-booting Vista Home Basic with Windows 7 Home Premium

I have installed audio drivers, graphic drivers etc, and they have all worked, but then i installed WLAN drivers, and they do not work.

In device manager, it says everything is working, but windows7 just cannot find any networks.

The ethernet works, but the wireless doesnt.

I have installed the same drivers that vista uses for it several times, i have even tried in compatability mode for vista, but still the wireless will not work.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to get it working please?

Thanks in advance :)

Probably you need the "FSC Launch Manager" to activate the wireless antenna - did you try this already?

Nothing happens when pressing the FN key combination for wireless?
You can try this script: post,7428.html#p7428
It starts and sends a keycode to the Launch Manager (maybe that's the part that doesn't work with Windows 7, I don't know - just guessing...). Probably it requires administrator privileges.

Right ive tested it.

A box comes up with an optionbox on it saying something about wifi, and it was already on, but i selected on again.

So the wifi appears to be on... because all the drivers say its working, and launch manager says that its on aswel, but no networks!

So i have no idea what to do now :(
