Postby iie » Sat Feb 28, 2009 10:00 am

Hello

I have a probelm with my Amilo's wireless card since ages, it doesn't work properly, I mean sometimes it's turning on and sometimes not, I have to reboot laptop 2 -3 times ( not always ) to have working wireless card. I have windows xp sp3 and ubuntu 8.04. On both I have the same problem. Any ideas?

Thanks, very much for you response.

And..............

Yes, I reinstalled windows because I bought this notebook coming with windows Vista Basic in italian lenguage, and changed to spanish lenguage
and I used the original disc of Windows Vista Basic for Fujitsu - Siemens who coming with the notebook.
Do you think that when reinstalled windows in spanish I losted the launch manager ??? or is neccesary downland again ?

Yes, I think that I don't have launch manager, but tell how find this ? For give me my ignorance, I read about this, and I need downland this launch manager because I see in the drivers in the web site fujitsu- siemens ????
In tool and utilities : DesUpdate and FSC Launch manager version 1.4.4
This drivers is very important for to work this 4 EASY LAUNCH KEYS , or automatic access keys ( in the upper right ) and only the power key working.

1.- Switsching wireless LAN - WLan On /Off
2.- Internet Browser .

3.- Silent Mode

4.- Power On

I read about the downland drivers of WLAN and I see in the disc C:

c:/driver/wlan/atheros1
c:/driver/wlan/sis163

I need reinstall this ???? There ar another actual version ????

The error message in Windows Network Diagnostics is:
The wireless functionality is disabled on that computer

Convection activate the wireless. Activation can be done through a switch (usually located in the front or side of the team) LAUNCH EASY KEYS or a combination of function keys.

I wrote to cac@ts.fujitsu.com 2 times I don't received answer

PLEASE HELP me I want to use Wi Fi. !!!!!!

THANKS, I sorry my english.

1. Does the first led [ from left side ] is on? Is it lighten up?
2. Can u go to the device manager [ my computer ] and check if the atheros wi fi driver has been installed properly?
3. Launch manager shoud be in the all programs group in menu start
4. U can download it from:
u will prabobly have to look for this amilo
