Fullscreen without borders?

Postby Bubbi » Tue Sep 19, 2006 9:27 pm

Hey there.

I have a AMILO L6825, and i have a small problem with lower resolutions.

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 and the drivers from fujitsu-siemens.com which is version 6.13.01.3485..

The problem is that in lower resoluitons like 800x600 or 640x480,
i just can't make it go in fullscreen without borders.
Even if i use the setting in the driver options called "(Full Screen) No Borders"..

Does anyone know a sollution to my problem?
I wanna use the lower resolutions for some older games that mostly run in 800x600.

Are there newer drivers or modded drivers i can get anywhere that can help me ?

I think this problem is because of you8r display's resolution.
If your Amilo has a widescreen display it is possible, that older games do not support widescreen resolution and make the game with borders instead.
Some games can be patched to make widescreen resolutions possible, but the very old ones usually not.

@Bubbi
You could try the newest driver from Intel:

It's it not a widescreen..

But i'll try that driver now, aspettl..
I just thought the one from Fujitsu-Siemens was the newest.. :?

Ohh well..
The new drivers didn't help with the borders..

I guss i just have to live with my old games being shown as a small square in the center of my screen..

That's strange, it should work :?
Did you have a look into your BIOS - maybe there is something?

If you can,try a reinstall Windows.
It's really strange,that you have borders,though you don't even have a widescreen.

That doesn't work either, have used it for about a year now, with several Windows installations.

I bought it with WinXP Home Edition, and it did exatly the same, about 6 month ago i bought XP Pro, and it's the same on that.
