Amilo 1667G boot problems

Postby Nolly » Wed Sep 20, 2006 12:02 pm

Hi guys,
Ive had my 1667G for 8 months now, and a few days ago while playing Max Payne 2 (for about 45mins) the system shut down without warning. Now every time I boot up, the computer shuts down while windows boots up. Sometimes it gets as far as playing the music and starting to load the desktop before this happens, other times it happens as soon as the black screen with the windows logo appears. A couple of times it has displayed a blue screen saying:

"STOP: c000021a {fatal system error}
The windows logon process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000402 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down"

Booting in safe mode or from the windows disc both result in the computer shutting down before windows is properly loaded, and it won't even let me reinstall windows.
I have spoken with the fujitsu helpline, and they were convinced it was a software issue (which of course isn't covered by warranty) but I took it to PC World and they assured me that it was a hardware issue.
Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem or how best to resolve it?
Thanks for your time
Nolly
