Supported RAM for Amilo Pro 2040?

Postby Milloflex » Mon Mar 23, 2009 10:44 pm

I was just about to buy some memory for my Amilo Pro 2040, but got unsure which to choose.

Doesn't seams like the manul mention what memory speeds are supported?

I would prefer 800 MHz (PC6400) but it seams like the amilo models around mine only support 667 MHz (PC5300).

Is there anyone that know for sure?

I found this in the manual:

"Use only memory modules which have been approved for your notebook: 256 or
512 Mbyte modules or 1 Gbyte modules of the type DDR2 SO-DIMM.
"

(And btw, how come so few people has 2040 on the forum, any ideas?)

Any tips, comments and ideas are welcome!
Thank you in advance. :- )

Today I updated my computer with a SO-DIMM 1GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHZ KINGSTON and it works perfectly.

Here is a guide/tutorial or whatever you will call it on how to access the RAM under the keyboard and install the new memory:
