Amilo Pi1536 - HDD and RAM upgrade gone bad

Postby Mastertje » Tue Mar 24, 2009 12:21 am

Hello everyone,

I decided to update my laptop with a new harddisk. The new harddisk performance is excellent, I've done some benchmarks, here are the results;

Old standard harddisk:

New harddisk:

I'm very happy about that! :)

Now, I've upgraded my ram from 2 X 512 MB 533 DDR2 Hyundai sticks to 2 X 1 GB 667 DDR2 Kingston Hyperx sticks.

But the new memory is still running at 533 Mhz!!!

Why is this? The Intel chipset on the Amilo Pi 1536 is supposed to support 667 Mhz isn't it???

I hope somebody knows what's going on here! Thanks in advance :) great forum.
