Fujitsu Ui 3520 card reader issues (cards are protruding)

Hi, just to let you know, all the cards that are inserted into the 4-in-1 card reader do protrude. So this slot is no good for anyone who would like to have a card in there for all the time. You may use the ExpressCard 32 slot for this, I have bought the Lexar 16 GB ExpressCard (connects via USB drivers) to install another OS on that one but since Windows treats this card as removable, I am unable to install an OS on the ExpressCard. At least it can be used as Readyboost with Vista and Windows 7.

I read this one and your other threads too. It seems like you're pretty disappointed about this netbook. Maybe another one might be better for you.

I had a short look at the Samsung NC 10 and know some reports about the Asus EEE 1000H. I believe you would like both of them if you can abandon the expresscard slot. SD-Cards don't protrude, the owner of the NC 10 never complained about the fan and if my experiences with the EEE 901 can be ported to the 1000H you will hardly notice the fan unless you put some load on the CPU. Even on 100% the 901 stays relatively silent.

Concerning the Lexar-expresscard, you might be disappointed about it. I have the same model in my Amilo and the writing rate is too low for running an OS from it at a reasonable speed.
In fact you can install an OS on it. Every Linux or BSD distribution will do. There are also how-to's about installing Windows on USB-Sticks or SD-Cards. The same should work for an expresscard.
