[Si 3655] Making the touchpad scroll

Postby kevinbeek » Thu May 07, 2009 3:06 pm

Hi guys and girls,

Have the Amilo Si 3655 for a couple of weeks now. Nice computer, except for the keyboard (some keys have to be pressed hard, which makes it hard to type blindly. Tips anyone?) and the touchpad (had to return the first Si3655 cause of a failing mousepad), which are of poor quality. To bad, cause these are the mechanisms that turn analogue into digital, and are therefore important for the feel of the computer. And ofcourse the germans had to do some things differently, like putting some keys and lights on places that don't feel intuitive. So even though i find the technical side of the computer great, it lacks on parts of the feel it gives.

Moreover, one of these 'deviant' things is the touchpad which doesn't support scrolling. Does someone know a programme to activate this? Or is this impossible because of hardware that doesn't support it?

Thanks in advance!
Kevin

Hi,

did you already try the original Synaptics touchpad driver?

Thanks Aaron, that worked :)

Couldn't find the manufacturer of the touchpad, as it said 'Microsoft' in the device manager.
