v2055 battery

Postby bufferz » Sat May 16, 2009 9:28 pm

I have a 2006 amilio pro v2055, with a smp-lmxxps6 battery (10.8v, 1100mAh) - as it only lasts about 1.5hrs, can I buy a bigger capacity battery, as currently the lappy is plugged into the mains most of the time as 1.5 hrs really isnt much use.......or am I better to look for a newer machine (i like these machines though)

Thanks in advance

I guess you mean that your battery has 4400mAh, not 1100mAh.

Given the fact that you have a 15.4" display and that your notebook is three years old, 1.5 hours isn't that bad if you run Windows. Indeed I would say that this is a normal runtime.

As far as I know there is no bigger battery available for your notebook. An alternative might be an external battery like this:
