Hi,

i have a Amilo M 6300 and i want to upgrade CPU, RAM and HD.

CPU upgrade : which one is the best ?
BIOS update ?
Fan ok ?

RAM : which one ?

HD : which one ?

This notebook is ancient. Upgrading doesn't seem reasonable to me because even after the upgrade it will still be outdated.

CPU:
The maximum you can insert is an Intel Pentium 3 Tualatin 1400 with 1,4GHz. Changing the fan or the BIOS is not necessary but you'll have to renew the thermal paste.
I think it's really hard to find such a CPU.

RAM:
You SD-RAM, as far as I know normal outline, so no SO-DIMM modules. The maximum you can insert is 1GB (2x512MB).
Finding these modules might be complicated but should be possible.

HDD:
You need an IDE drive in 2.5" format. The maximum your BIOS can handle are 120GB I think.
You can get a HDD that matches these criteria in every online shop.

I find a pentium 3 1.4 tualatin,ram and hd on ebay :-).

Have someone some picture how to change the cpu on the Amilo M 6300 ?
