v2030 keyboard not working linux

Postby xarti » Mon Aug 10, 2009 7:26 pm

Hi,
Recently I installed slackware 12.2 on my fujitsu v2030. I managed to make fan work corectly, but I can't force the keyboard to work. If I press capslock a few times while booting it sometimes works.

Here is the dmesg of one time when I managed to get keyboard working (by pressing capslock)
Working dmesg

Here's the dmesg while keyboard wasn't working
Not working dmesg
Lspci output (while keyboard wasn't working)
My kernel config

Thanks in advance for any help,
xarti

I see two mayor differences in your dmesg outputs:
working wrote:[ 3.211136] input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard as /devices/platform/i8042/serio0/input/input4
and a lot of atkbd stuff.
Is this module (assuming that it is a module) even loaded when the keyboard doesn't work (lsmod)?

I also see that you run the "current" kernel. Have you tried the latest stable kernel? You might also want to try Slax. It comes with the latest Slackware stable kernel.
