RE : Reset CMOS on Amilo Li2727

Hi guys,
I have a really annoying problem that is preventing my computer from booting (even from cd)
The system will not boot even with only the cd drive connected, I took the hard disk out and tried booting only from cd still same problem.
It loads the bios screen then the following message stops any further activity
"The file is possibly corrup. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum"

I had the laptop to bits earlier trying to find the cmos battery to no avail as it would only go so far without looking like I was going to snap something.
Does anyone know if there is a key I can press or hold whilst booting to reset the cmos on this machine or do i need to find the jumpers to reset the cmos ?

Thanks in advance.

It isn't possible to enter the BIOS before or when this message is displayed? (Try to press F2.)

Is there no battery under the service cover? The 2727 is very similar to the 1818, and that has a standard CR2032 battery!
