Safe Mode - Basic question

Postby whyohwhyohwhy » Sat Aug 15, 2009 1:53 pm

Hi,

I have a Amilo Li 2727 laptop and I have been having problems with spyware. I've joined another forum to ask for advice in getting rid of any malware, etc and have been given instructions on what to try. The problem is I have been told to restart the computer in safe mode and I have no idea how to do this. I can't find my user manual to look it up so I wondered if anyone here could help?

Many thanks!

You can press F8 shortly after Windows starts booting. Just turn the laptop on and press F8 until a menu appears, there you'll find the "Safe Mode".

Thankyou so much! I was waiting until it had booted up.
