Keyboard malfuntioning - help?

Postby kuuazul » Sun Oct 01, 2006 2:46 pm

My Amilo 1650's keyboard started acting funny after I was using an external wireless keyboard that plugged into the USB port. At first both keyboards worked properly simultaneously, but when I unplugged the wireless keyboard receiver my laptop keyboard started producing numbers instead of some letters. For example, if I try and type "hello my name is", I get "he336 0y na0e 5s". How can I "rediscover" my notebook keyboard and is it not possible to use an external keyboard without bumping into this problem every time?

I have tried restarting the computer and uninstalling the wireless keyboard.

I also wrote earlier about a voice problem with this laptop. Using an usb laptop specific web cam/mic the voice cuts after 30 seconds and the person I am talking to starts hearing noise instead. The voice works with headphone/mic set, so what can the problem be? What are the settings I have to change to be able to make video calls with the webcam/mic only?

I am really starting to regret buying this model, but hey... too late now!

You activated the num block on your external keyboard.
