Restore/Reset Laptop for Resale

Postby Mart » Sun Oct 01, 2006 3:21 pm

Hi there.

I have an Amilo L7300 which we have just replaced, and have a buyer for the Amilo but naturally I need to restore the unit to it's original software installations (removing all of my documents, additional software, etc).

I have the Windows XP Home SP2 recovery CD which was supplied with it from new, as well as the MS Works disk and two other disks titled "Managed 2" - One being WinDVD 5.0 and the other being Nero Express 6.

I'm aware that before attempting any kind of full system recovery/restore using the recovery disk, I'll need the Drivers & Utilities CD (mentioned throughout the handbook) which I cannot locate. I'm quite a novice at this kind of thing so don't know whether i'll get away without using the drivers/utilities disk (I haven't added or changed any hardware), or whether there may be a better option for me to consider in resetting the unit?

Any help would be gratefully received!!
Mart

You can get the drivers here:

Or use DeskUpdate for automatic driver installation:
