Amilo Si 1520 - Windows 7's XP-mode (HW-virtualizzation)

Postby moster67 » Thu Sep 24, 2009 6:54 pm

I read in a previous post that it seems like Si1520 chipset supports Windows 7's XP-mode (hardware virtualizzation). I have installed windows 7 on my SI1520 and so far everything works just GREAT. It's really fast! However, when I tried to install XP-mode, it said that this must be enabled in BIOS but unfortunately the BIOS has not been updated for ages. Anyone who knows by any chance if there any "unofficial" BIOS for the Si1520 which permits to enable Hardware-virtualization? Or is there an option in the BIOS which I haven't seen?

I'm just trying to upgrade Vista to Win7, so I first need to install the servicepack1. The installation of sp1 stopped with errors and die installation is rolled back - how did you successed in installing Win7? Did you a installation from scratch?
