Amilo PA 3553 shuts down

Postby rogisha88 » Wed Oct 14, 2009 4:34 pm

I have a problem with 3553. It shuts down when I run demanding applications. it runs for a while, than black screen pops up, and it shuts down for no good reason. When it shuts down, I start it again, and after few sec it shuts down again. I need to wait for a few minutes to start it up again normaly. I dont think that overheating is problem, because i have changed thermal paste for better dissipation of heat, and i have cleaned the cooler. Any suggestion will be helpful...

What makes you so sure that there is no thermal problem? Maybe you did a mistake while changing the thermal paste. Why did you do that? Which CPU temperatures do you have shortly before it shuts down?
The video looks like a boot problem of Windows, maybe due to a damaged file or file system. Can you boot from a Live-CD?

what mistake, while i was changing paste? I am not a retard. I've changed a paste because I thought that it was overheating... And it was the same after that. The temperature was ~ 60C. from this morning the story is not the same. It wount start vista at all. Before shuting down, there is just a blink of blue screen, and it wount boot any system from any type of media. Maybe it has some problem with HDD. I dont have a spare one, so i cant try to change it. Any ideas?

60°C idle is ok for an AMD notebook.
If you see a blue screen, Windows tries to boot. So there seems to be no serious BIOS problem. Maybe a hardware reset will help.
