Yes, you can upgrade from Vista Home Premium to Seven Ultimate as long as you don't want to change the architecture (32/64bit). If you want to change the architecture you need to do a complete reinstall.
The Xa 2528 can run a 64bit OS, but you don't have to increase the RAM.

I've been running W7/64bit on my xi 2528 for the last months without any issue...
Suggest, backup your files, give a real kick to vista & start a fresh new installation of a 64bit W7
Guarantee, it works wonderful, worth every cent of the ~200 bucks they ask for it...runs 25% faster than crappy Vista.
In my case, I've upgraded to 4Gb Ram, cause my job involves lots of cad & render...

hi all

does anyone have problems with the webcam on Win7?
In my case, Win7 doesn't detect it at all, as if it doesn't exist... I tried to install the old official Vista drivers, but with no success.

Anyone got around this problem?

maybe it's a problem with the AMD processor... my Xi (Intel version) has no issues at all.
the Bison Driver worked as a charm...
Maybe you can try the AlienWare version ... as stated is 100% compatible with FJS...

I have the Xa version and I installed windows 7 yesterday.
It runs wonderfull exept for a few driver problems.

Wlan is not working(not really a problem for I'm using a usbwlan)
Unknown device (Coprocessor)
and my audio jack exit, and the volume control wheel is not functioning.

Feed the drivers DVD again, & make sure you run automatic installation, it must solve all issues, there is no any incompatibility between Amilo Driver DVD & W7...
