Hi,Can anybody tell me if my Amilo L7300 can power USB speakers or will I be better advised to buy speakers with an external power supply.They will need to work while using the laptop (surfing the net,printing doc's etc) as I like music while I work. 8)

Hi,

it should work. If you will have some problem, you can buy cable with two USB connectors (to get more power).

P.S. I've got 5.1 speaker set on my amilo A1650 and it work with no problem.

Do you mean you have a USB powered 5.1 speaker system running off USB power ? If so what make and connections are they ? :?

Sorry!!!
I've made a mistake :). I wanted to say that i have standard speakers powered up by USB port. Even I've got 5.1 (but with external power supply :shock: )
