Amilo Pi 3560 No webcam?

Postby DjLeco » Wed Dec 30, 2009 5:04 am

Hi, this is my first post here, and I want to start with "A Happy New Year" for everybody!

I'm the glad owner of an new Amilo Pi3560, buyed from Germany.

It doesn't work webcam on yahoo messenger, also telling NO WEBCAM INSTALLED...
Tried on windows Vista and windows 7 too...

I doesnt found it anywhere drivers for webcam, also I dowsn't know what type of webcam is, to try to search the driver to the oficial producer...

Also is any possibility to use Windows Xp on this laptop?

Trying to use XP, I cannot install the oficial nvidia win xp 32 bit video driver for GT240 M video card..

Vista is working perfectly (but no webcam installing),and the Windows Media Player 11,cannot load subtitles, using CCCP codecs, neither using Vista Codecs Pack, JUST on MKV files...

On Avi or DivX files it load automatically subtitles with VSFilter (equivalent of vobSub)

Please, anyone can help me?

I told again, no webcam on system, and no loading subtitles on .mkv movies, using WMP 11...

Did you activate the webcam? It's probably Fn+F7.

Graphics driver: topic,24,-nVidia-ATI-driver-installation-drivers-not-compatible.html

I recommend VLC for all video files. Never used WMP myself, so I can't give any hints there.

Regards

In general it is a usual USB cam. But due to power saving reasons this special USB port can be deactivated.

Some laptops have combined switches for WLAN and bluetooth. So they are switched on or off simultaneously. But these laptops also often have switch options in the BIOS ordriver software where one can chose if the WLAN switch should switch bluetooth too.

So you might have a combined switch which is configured not to enable bluetooth.
