Amilo Notebook Li 3710 driver???

Postby james » Fri Jan 01, 2010 10:20 am

Recently got an Amilo Li3710 through my insurance company with Windows 7 pre install. Works fine in safe mode but in normal mode it crashes and stalls every few minutes. I am now getting a SMART: Failure imminent warning when starting up.

I have had the laptop less than a week, my main problem is that I need to fix this some how and I am near useless with computers. I'm guessing its a driver problem as it works fine in safe mode like I said. I work abroad away from my family and Skype is really my only connection to back home when I'm away and as the sound and audio dont load in safe mode I'm goosed.

Please any one any ideas on how to fix this computer or info on known issues.

Due to the SMART warning it's very likely that the hard disk is broken. Probably there are already defect sectors.
Make a backup of your data as soon as possible and get the hdd replaced (warranty?).
