Cannot get LAN card working on Amilo Xa 2528 (XP)

Postby chrilson » Mon Jan 04, 2010 3:13 pm

Hi,

I received the Xa 2528 from a friend, but it came with the Croatian version of Windows Vista. Knowing very little about either Vista or Croatian, I installed XP instead. After much searching and trial and error, I've gotten mostly all key components working -- but I cannot make my network card work! The nVidia nForce Networking Adapter appears in device manager, but none of the drivers I've found have fully been able to install themselves. I've received several error messages during these installs, and the one time I completed the install I was notified that the following files could not be copied to the directory:

fdco_l1028.dll
fdco_l1031.dll
fdco_l1034.dll
fdco_l1036.dll
fdco_l1040.dll
fdco_l1041.dll
fdco_l1042.dll
fdco_l1046.dll
fdco_l2052.dll

Of course, after this installation the network card is still not working. Are there any drivers out there that can help me? I know that other people have gotten the Xa 2528 working with XP...

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

The Vista LAN driver package of Fujitsu also contains a driver for XP (at least I read that in a German forum, link).

Thanks -- yeah I tried that Vista driver package, but it didn't improve anything.

Actually gave up last night and installed Windows 7 Ultimate. Everything is working perfectly after downloading and installing all the drivers from the FS website.
