Problems with hard drives, CD/DVD-devices, firmware updates, USB stick, card reader,...

I have an amilo pa2548 with an optiarc drive. The bios does not recognize it. I've done a flash but it didn't help. After that i put another drive instead the optiarc but no change. It was also not visible in the bios menu. I think it is a hardware problem on the mainboard. Can anyone help?

I don't think so any hardware problem of mainboard matters here...anyway you have to check out the plug-play of it again...one more time..and also check out the bios with the enabling option regarding to it present there..!
