Amilo pi 3560 Glitchy

Postby crowdi » Thu Jan 07, 2010 8:52 pm

Hey

Ive searched the board but I can't find the problem or the solution on the net. I have just purchased the Fujitsu Amilo Pi 3560,
Basic hardware being:
Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2 Ghz
4 gigs Ram
Nvidia geforce GT 240M.

I have had my odd game of warcraft 3 and Heroes of Newerth and it worked fine, except when I play music. Whenever I play music, it kinda freezes and makes a glitchy sound for about a split second, this sound is more frequent when I have a few programs open. I am pretty sure a brand new laptop should not be doing this, it did this for music and videos. Is this a common problem that I can fix, or should I maybe reinstall and see if the problem persists.

Thank you.

I had the same problem and think i've found a solution:

Install latest graphics driver version 8.17.11.9562, got it from this page if you have Windows 7 64 http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_w ... _whql.html

Worked for me, havent had a clicking glitch for 2 hours now and hope it stays that way.

Hi

I also got the same problem with my amilo pi 3650, and downloading the latest Nvida driver didn't fix it. I noticed this glitching when i bought the laptop about a half year ago, and then it went away for a while, but recently it has come back. The only difference between now and then is that I've bought Starcraft 2 and been playing it alot, and the computer gets hotter than ususal. But even when I start up my laptop it gets glitchy after doing nothing, and it's very cold by then. So it feels like it might be something else.

I have the same hardware and software as the threadstarter.

So if anyone knows how to fix this, please post the solution!

I've think i've found the source to the glitching! How strange it now may sound, I think it's the wireless internet connection that makes the computer freeze for a split second. You see, I always use wireless internet, and today when i was moving my computer elsewhere in the house and got BAD internet connection, it started glitching! This doesn't make sense at all to me, but hey, it's computers we're talking about after all.

I'll post a solution if I find one.
