Amilo Pro V2060

Postby Paulirl » Sun Jan 17, 2010 1:42 pm

I have just recently replaced the hard drive in the above computer, when I re-install windows xp it goes through the motions and arrives at a blue screen and says "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer".
It is a Toshiba 2.5 Sata Hard Drive I have put into the laptop.
I have found this link http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winx...exfullpage.htm, it makes sense but where would I find the correct software and what am I looking for to install bearing in mind I do not have a operating system on the Fujitsu.
An idiots guide would be apprieciated.

Kindest regards in advance.

Many thanks for that, but is there a particular driver I require or are they all generic, i.e where do I find the correct program relevant to my system/hard drive.

Kind Regards: Paul.

You don't need a driver for your HDD, you need one for your SATA controller to detect the HDD. The way you get this driver is described in the 2nd link. How to apply it to your Windows installation is written in the 1st link.
