First, I have searched this forum for solutions but I can't find any that fixes the problem.
I'm running Vista Home Premium and I'm the only person using the laptop.
I haven't used my built-in webcam in a looong time, but I wanted to today and discovered that it's disappeared from the system! It can't be detected by Windows. I downloaded the driver that is 6.32.0.10 from Fujitsu, which is said to work (found that info somewhere on this forum). It installs just fine and I rebooted, but Windows still can't find the webcam, so I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled and rebooted. Same result. Bison doesn't show up in "programs", the way it used to back when it worked. I have searched for it but all that appears are the driver files.
Does anybody have a solution for this? I'd appreciate all help and ideas, it's dumb to have a webcam and not be able to use it. I'm not a complete amateur so I hope this is fixable. Thanks in advance.
