HDA Audio Bus Driver Not Found, I've tried everything!

Postby oscarxp » Sat Jan 23, 2010 2:01 pm

Hello All,

Well, I'm having audio driver issues, I've installed windows xp SP3 on my Fujitsu Siemens Labtop Amilo Pro v2085 but there is no sound. There seemed to be a fix on Microsoft's site KB888111 related to SP2, but now that I'm at SP3 it will not install.
Nothing shows up as wrong in the device manager, but there is no sound/no speaker icon in the task bar. When I try to install the Driver from Fujitsu site for audio I get an error "HDA Audio Bus Driver Not Found"

I have googled and searched and downloaded and tried all sorts of things literally for hours, so I'm here bringing the "big dogs"

Can someone help, please?

Is there an unknown device in the device manager, which audio devices are listed?

KB888111 is integrated in SP3, so it's not necessary.

We have several threads that report similar issues (no sound with XP SP3 on HDA). The only solution that seems to work was to install XP SP2, add kb888111 and then upgrade to SP3.

All drivers are installed the device manager doesnt show any missing drivers. And i dont want to do a rebot to put on sp2 then sp3. Tried all registry to fool the sp3 that its sp2 but still after installing the KB888111 it still gives me HDA Audio Bus Driver Not Found
