Amilo Pi1536 battery driver

Postby ChakiMan » Fri Oct 20, 2006 3:00 am

Hi guys
I have a Amilo Pi 1536 and the OS is WinXP home in hungarian.
Using NLite I create a CD of WinXP pro in spanish with service pack 2 and
the intel sata drivers included.
All drivers, software, etc. loaded fine - except the battery drivers. It tells
me that 'Cannot find the drivers for 'Battery'. Please contact the
manufacturer.'
With the original OS all works fine, but I can´t talk hungarian.
I tried the 'Add new Hardware' trick, and it tells me the drivers cannot be
found. I repeated the process, placing the XP home restore disk in the cd
drive and pointing to it, no luck. Whenever I reboot the machine, it finds
new hardware ('Battery'), attempts to install, and fails.
A friend told me to use Device Mgr to update drivers - no luck
I dont know what to do now.
Is there anywhere one can locate battery drivers or power management
drivers for this model laptop? Or is there an alternate solution?
Thanks.

The battery driver comes with WindowsXP. It should not be necessary to install it separately.

Make sure you have Windows installed using an ACPI-Computer. To verify this, go to the device manager and klick on "Computer".

Is Servicepack 2 installed properly?
- Go to Start - Run - type in: winver and have a look whether the Service Pack 2 appears.

Maybe you have to reinstall Windows. I recommend XP-ISO-Builder to create the Windows Setup CD. Maybe your CD Image is broken.
