Amilo Li 1705

Postby dealrocker » Tue Mar 02, 2010 12:05 pm

A friend of mine owns an Amilo Li 1705, it was working pretty fine. But last night he took out the BIOS and the CMOS battery to clean up. After installed them he turned his laptop on, but it refused to start. Now every time an error message says 'CMOS setting wrong, CMOS/date/time not set and press F2 to run setup'. Problem is that there is not any response even after pressing the F2 button. Can anyone help to fix this problem..?

Thanks in advance.

He could try to remove the CMOS battery once more (and, of course, remove all other power sources).
It's also possible that an external keyboard works.
