Hi

I am helping someone with an Amilo L6820 with a faulty hard drive which will replaced, however they cannot find their restore disks. Drivers seem to be available from the FS website but not the operating system restore disk. Can anyone help? Are they available from FS somehow?

Thanks.

Hy,
you can install fresh copy of Windows and download drivers from FSC site (http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/com/ ... loads.html)

You can't get the windows recovery cd itself from FSC afaik. I'd try to find the cd(s)...

Thanks for replies.

I've actually spoken to FS now and they gave me a phone number of a place that does the discs, that I had already come across earlier. Unfortunately they want over £43 for the disc (does include vat and del).

However, the FS chap did say that if I could borrow a disc for any model I could use that, so I'll ask around.

(Similarly, dinkudis, your suggestion to install a fresh copy of Windows means I could ask someone to lend me their Windows XP install disc(s?) and install using that (plus the Windows number off the bottom of the laptop).
