XI6370 sound issue

XI6370 sound issue

HI folks i have a xi6370 with windows 7 installed my problem is the computer keeps turning the volume down on its own. I have no idea how or why it is doing this. WHen it happens you see the you see the volume graphic bar pop on screen and decrease, this happens randomly with diffrent programmes also happens when using windows media centre. Does anyone have an idea how i can stop this from happenig.

The Xi 3670 has a CIR interface, this is for using it with a remote control. Maybe there's (another) remote control and your laptop reacts to its signals?

Cheers for that reply unfortunatelly nope ive used it in in rooms with no remotes no one else around and it still does it. Im wondering if its the same as other reports where the light bar is affected by screen brightness and this alters sounds.

have the same problem
can't say when it happens. repeats about 5 times a day. in ubuntu linux too.
volume buttons blink randomly. sometimes all buttons get lit for a few seconds.

Same for me, extremely annoying. Really makes me wonder why I replaced my Macbook Pro =(
I hope someone will find a solution for this problem, I'll post it if I get it first.
