Amilo Li3910 Ubuntu screen brightness issue

Postby dmitri » Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:25 pm

Hi, i have installed linux on my lap top, everything works fine except the screen brightness adjustment. The adjustment works while restarting the computer, but since the system is loaded the brightness is set to max and is too uncomfortable to work on it. Any suggestions?

I guess you're using 9.10. According to this thread (german) it worked in 9.04 after a kernel update:

You should try Jaunty and if it's really a regression in Karmic, you should file a bug report against the kernel.

Just pipe it through googles translator and you will find that in the last post the thread opener mentioned that the problem disappeared after a kernel update in Jaunty.

This might be another option.
