Battery for Amilo PI2550

Postby ajithng » Mon Apr 12, 2010 2:08 pm

I have been using my laptop since 2008 March. Since the last 4 months, its back up seems very less, can say 10 minutes. Anybody can advise and assist me to sort out the issue?

It would be helpful if you could provide some more information about your battery. I'm not sure if any Windows tool can do this, but if you boot from a current Linux Live CD one could tell if the battery is defective. Especially the output of the following command would be interesting:
Code: Select all
cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/uevent

No, the output of the command I mentioned should be enough. It's more about the current condition of your battery than the nominal data.
